I’ve always wondered how Academic Prestige was calculated during the dynasty, and could never really figure it out. I just heard a pretty simple explanation, thought I’d share this theory:

It’s based on the number of people who live school early. The more you lose early, the quicker it goes down.

Not sure how it goes up, perhaps based on the number of 5 year guys you have?

I’ll have to test this. Of course remember your initial academic rating is determined before the game is pressed.
